To the right there’s a dock that provides easy access to the Layers, Brushes, and Undo functions. To the left there’s a Toolbox dock that, as you would expect, provides easy access to various editing tools, like the Bucket, Text, or Airbrush tool, for example. The main GIMP window presents the image you selected for editing.
